Who are you?

Larry says: “ We are a well established, family owned bed, flooring and carpet retailer with a great reputation for quality products, quality service, fast delivery and tremendous value for money”

Where are you based?

Larry says: “We are based in Rendle Street, Plymouth, Devon; near the Octagon, between Union Street and King Street, (Stonehouse), just a 5 minute walk from Plymouth city centre and a 3 minute walk from the continental ferry port.  We have over 30,000 square feet of sales floor, packed with great products and fantastic deals! Our store is on 2 floors, with a customer lift for easy disabled access.  We even offer a courtesy car, so if you cannot make it to the shop, we’ll come and pick you up, FREE!

What do you do?

Larry says: “We are a major retail outlet and we sell all types of beds, flooring and carpets.  We also sell a wide range of high quality rugs, lino, duvets, divan set, headboards etc., all at low LOW prices, and all from a HUGE stock.  Why not come down to our shop and see for yourself?”

How long have you been in business?

Larry says: “We have been selling quality carpets and beds in the Plymouth area since 1965 and have grown by our excellent reputation.  Listen out for our adverts on the local radio, in the local papers and also our eye catching buses around Plymouth.  We have also been featured on local and national TV and radio.  Why not come down to the shop and find out for yourself why everyone’s talking about Larry Speare!”

Do you offer delivery?

Larry says: “Yes, we offer delivery on all rugs, carpets, mattresses, beds. Bed bases etc..
We offer same day delivery (for a small fee) to anywhere in the Plymouth and suburban area, and can also arrange fast delivery to any business or residential address within Devon and Cornwall, including Newquay, Truro, St Austell, Liskeard, Lanceston, Tavistock, Okehampton, Bude, Exeter, Torquay, Tiverton, Newton Abbott and all major towns.  We also have some items for sale that you can come down and collect to take home with you; such as rugs, duvets, headboards and pillows.
If you live outside Devon and Cornwall, please contact us anyway, we may have an offer you simply cannot refuse!”

What types of carpets and flooring do you sell?

Larry says: “We offer all the top UK and European brands and types of carpet, such as high quality secondary back carpets, felt back, gel back, water proof, with few exceptions we can supply you with any carpet made.

We also sell affordable carpets for the budget conscious, such as felt backed carpets, fashion carpets, all at low LOW prices and same day delivery! We are confident that we can provide you with the rug, carpet or vinyl flooring that you really want, at a price you’ll love!”

Do you offer a carpet fitting service?

Larry says: “Yes, we can arrange that for you.  We have well trained and highly skilled carpet fitters who can expertly fit any carpet or vinyl flooring you choose from our massive range, all in stock, and ready to be delivered and fitted.  We can also provide a NEXT DAY fitting service for your convenience.”

Do you offer a carpet measuring service?

Larry says: “Yes we do, and it’s very easy to arrange.

Simply email us, phone us on (01752) 220964, or call in at the store.  We can take all the details and we will visit you and take measurements of the rooms requiring new carpet or vinyl.  This service is completely FREE OF CHARGE and without obligation.  Free price estimates for carpets and underlay given.

Do you do contract flooring?

Larry says: “Yes, we do, and we have completed non slip (safety) flooring projects for several large organisations such as Plymouth airport, NHS hospitals, several schools and large commercial buildings.  Contact us for more information about the existing contract flooring range we have available, all compliant with UK and EU health and safety requirements in building and construction materials.”

What brands and types of beds do you sell?

Larry says: “We sell all the top brands and famous names in beds such as Silentnight, Slumberland, Healthbeds and Myers, and a range of “pocket sprung” beds from Millbrook, all at prices you won’t believe!
We also have a huge range of replacement mattresses from the economy to the opulent.  All sizes are available, mostly from stock, and range from 2’6’’, 3’, 3’6’’, 4’, 4’6’’, 5’, up to and above 6’ foot wide.
We also sell a range of memory foam products such as divan sets, mattresses and pillows.

Can you take away my old bed/carpet away?

Larry says: “Yes, we can arrange to dispose of your bed/carpet (for a small charge), please mention this to the sales person when placing your order.

I am unsure what product I actually need.  Can I talk to someone about my requirements?

Larry says: “Of course you can! Our friendly and well trained staff are always on hand to help you, even if it’s just for advice.  No matter what your enquiry, we are confident we can help you.  Why not come down to the shop and see us, we are only 5 minutes walk from the3 city centre!”

When are you open?

Larry says: “Our shop is open for business from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday inclusive, and we have a huge free car park, so why not come down to the store? We look forward to seeing you soon!”
